In Episode 13, Season 9 of Dragons’ Den, brothers Morgan and Jackson Wyatt pitched their product The Greenlid™ — a completely compostable organic waste container.
All five dragons were immediately fired up by the idea, as anyone who currently participates in their municipality’s organic compost program can both see and smell the need for this solution.
As part of their business plan, the brothers stated that they will focus on marketing The Greenlid™ to condo residents. Dragon Jim Treliving added fuel to the fire of enthusiasm already burning in the Den, stating that “this is going to be huge in the high rises.”
The Greenlid™ is clearly on a roll, having the honor of being featured as “One of Canada’s top ten most innovative products” at Grocery Innovations Canada in October 2014.

A Sweet-Smelling Deal
Continuing the momentum of their recent success, Morgan and Jackson Wyatt walked out of the Dragons’ Den with a deal, forming a partnership with Dragons Arlene and Dave, who invested $85K of their own money in exchange for 20% of the business.
Perhaps the benefits and availability of The Greenlid™ could be promoted in your condominium community newsletter or resident portal. The company’s website has a store locator that will assist residents with where to find this product.
